Hey folks, Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I overthinking this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Austin about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..
