Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $239,000, which is actually reasonable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up.
