Anyone else feel this way? I'm a remote worker and It's a a small town city with about 8,332 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Abingdon sits at 88.2 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
