First post here. I relocated for work and You can expect to pay around $1,547 for rent here. Household incomes average around $119,787 in Abington. Crime rate is something to consider -Abington sits at 139.8 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.2%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I've been here 1 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is pretty good.
