What to expect moving to Acton?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2010. Rent is about $1,755/month for a decent place. With a population of 7,721, Acton is a small town. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $110,000, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
