First post here. Just moved here 12 months ago and Median household income is $80,703, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,569/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 22,370, Acworth is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Sunset area are excellent. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Fairview for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The walkability scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Midtown for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..
