Commute times in Acworth -how bad?

Hi all, Rent is about $1,569/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,569 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Houston about 7 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is average.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..
