Working in Adams -salaries realistic?

Been meaning to ask this. Poverty rate is 17.1%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $48,750, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much established but now it's decent.
