Longtime lurker here, I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 6.3%, which is concerning. Poverty rate is 15.8%, which is higher than I expected. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs? The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
