Studio apartments in Adelphi -options?

Anyone else feel this way? The median home value here is around $401,700, which is pretty steep. It's a a small town city with about 17,210 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks in advance!

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
