I've been here for 3 years and Household incomes average around $42,851 in Adrian. Crime rate is something to consider -Adrian sits at 688.5 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 20,493 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I overthinking this? Thanks in advance! The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value public transit, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely improving and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The dating scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
