Living in Adrian -the reality

Homes are going for about $119,900 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $119,900, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $42,851, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 8 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.
