Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $139,600 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's average.

Bought a house here in 2015 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The housing market scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Midtown for 3 years. Moved from Phoenix for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
construction is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Midtown schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Summers can be brutally hot. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 8/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
