Thinking about relocating to Aguadilla zona urbana from Cleveland

Hey everyone, It's a a small town city with about 11,060 people. Poverty rate is 54.8%, which is higher than I expected. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Atlanta about 5 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..
