Job market in Alamo for tech?

I'm single, late 30s, and Household incomes average around $250,001 in Alamo. What would you do?

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Tampa about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2017 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I'm a HR manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

Moved here from Austin about 9 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to community vibe but Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 15 years. Moved from Houston for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Dating scene is rough. Bugs and humidity in summer. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
