Anyone else love living in Alamo?

Random thought, Been living here since 2006. It's a a small town city with about 20,008 people. Homes are going for about $119,300 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Greenfield area are underrated. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Hope this helps!.
