Best companies to work for in Alamogordo?
Curious what people think. Am I wrong here? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in East area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Portland about 2 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
