Rent in Alamogordo getting crazy

Hey folks, I'm originally from Houston and Homes are going for about $163,600 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Alamogordo sits at 342.4 per 100K. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Bought a house here in 2020 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
