Albany housing prices -when will it stop?

Alright, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $1,188,600, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $2,389 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I work in marketing here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is tough. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 13 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
