Best industries in Albany right now
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a smaller city city with about 56,773 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Albany sits at 127.3 per 100K. Rent is about $1,311/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
