Moving from Houston to Albert Lea next month

We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $62,522, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in Downtown for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The traffic scene is average

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..
