Albuquerque in the winter — how bad?

Hey, Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $266,700 on average. With a population of 562K, Albuquerque is a major city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What are your go-to spots? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've lived in Springfield for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- The public transit scene is decent

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much stable but now it's average.
