Crime rate is something to consider -Alexandria sits at 1,569.8 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is average in most areas.
