The good and bad of living in Alexandria

Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 44,566 people. The median home value here is around $182,800, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $946 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Alexandria sits at 1,569.8 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Not very walkable
Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
