Is Alexandria good for remote workers?

OK so Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $113,638 in Alexandria. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I'm a project manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in engineering. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Springfield area are tough. Kids love it here.
