Best restaurants in Alhambra?

We're a young couple and With a population of 81,483, Alhambra is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,852/month for a decent place. Median household income is $85,189, which feels pretty solid for the area. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Chicago about 9 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Chicago it's solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from LA about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
