Biggest downsides of living in Alhambra?

Hey, I've been here for 8 years and Household incomes average around $85,189 in Alhambra. The median home value here is around $812,700, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Low crime in most areas
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Lots of new development

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- High property taxes
- Lack of diversity
- Poor road conditions
- Far from major airports
Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
