Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I wrong here? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from San Francisco about 10 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
