Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider -Aliquippa sits at 635.2 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Has anyone dealt with this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Eastside area are decent. Kids love it here.

Moved here from Boston about 7 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to cost of living but Would recommend to anyone considering it..
