Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Came here for school and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The housing market is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in government. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The cultural scene is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Fairview area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2020 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
