Moving to Aliso Viejo for work -advice?

OK so I'm a 38-year-old HR manager and Rent is about $2,774/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks for reading.

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Seattle it's surprisingly good.
