Hey everyone, We have two kids and Household incomes average around $137,970 in Aliso Viejo. It's a a smaller city city with about 51,320 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I work in consulting here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is average. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 12 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much stable but now it's hit or miss.

I've been here 7 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The nightlife scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.
