Is public transit usable in Allardt?

Alright, I'm a remote worker and With a population of 1,078, Allardt is a small town. Household incomes average around $52,125 in Allardt. It's a a small town city with about 1,078 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..
