Hey, I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $129,130 in Allen. Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Eastside area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
