Is Allendale still affordable?

Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Allendale sits at 319.7 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,081 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
