Things Allendale needs to improve

Random thought, I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective.

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great farm-to-table places. it exceeded my expectations.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
