Hey folks, I've been here for 18 years and Poverty rate is 17.3%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $53,403 in Allentown. The unemployment rate is 5.5%, which is about average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 125K people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Anyone in a similar situation? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
