Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $465,500, which is pretty steep. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I overthinking this?

I've lived in Westside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The traffic scene is improving
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The housing market scene is tough
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- The food scene scene is improving
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
