Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Household incomes average around $146,581 in Alpharetta. With a population of 66,355, Alpharetta is a smaller city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value walkability, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely better than expected and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Downtown) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I work in retail here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is challenging. No regrets on my end..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is solid in most areas.
