Best restaurants in Alpharetta?

Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $605,700, which is pretty steep. With a population of 66,355, Alpharetta is a smaller city. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Maple Ridge area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely pretty good and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (East) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
