Is it worth buying in Alpharetta?

Hi all, I've been here for 5 years and Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,874/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. TIA! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 15 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into running, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
