Co-working spaces in Altadena?

OK so I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $2,250 for rent here. Homes are going for about $1,073,500 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Let me know your thoughts. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 6 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Definitely worth checking out..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to New York it's underrated.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely challenging and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (West) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
