Anyone else feel this way? Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $126,600 on average. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $981/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $981 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
