Studio apartments in Alvord -options?

I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider -Alvord sits at 274.2 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.5%, which is about average. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
