Working in Amboy -salaries realistic?

I'm retired and It's a a small town city with about 1,545 people. Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in tech. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
