Is public transit usable in Americus?

Curious what people think. I'm single, late 50s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Americus sits at 840.5 per 100K. The median home value here is around $113,500, which is actually reasonable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation?

I work in manufacturing here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is hit or miss. No regrets on my end..
