OK so Been living here since 2008. Homes are going for about $647,700 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Anacortes sits at 114.4 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
