Crime rate is something to consider — Anchorage sits at 1,244.6 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
