Why I chose Anchorage over bigger cities

Hey folks, Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $98,152 in Anchorage. The median home value here is around $375,900, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Has anyone dealt with this? Cheers.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
- The cost of living scene is improving

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
