Jose Collins housing

Affordable areas near Anderson?

Been meaning to ask this. Household incomes average around $47,221 in Anderson. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely solid and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a social worker and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

Came here for family and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The cultural scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
